With one hundred twenty or more children coming for the weekly tutorial, things are busy at New Gate Center. Every time I talk
to James he tells me how much the children and teachers are enjoying the program.

Children come three days a week, for a one hour class and a protein snack that they receive before they go home. They come either morning or afternoon in groups of sixty.

The four leaders take one of three classes of about twenty students each.

They come in, wash their feet and hands, go to their seats and are careful not to touch one another.

After the class session they file out in single file with their small lunch.

The lessons are simple, on basics in math, English, health and Bible. The children are very happy to come. Teachers, cooks, and others involved are also thankful they can do something to help the children and families during this time.

The goal is to provide some instruction and nutrition for the young community members and show them some Christian love.
